This scene represents a mixed composition of the Lake District, but the theme is to recreate a tranquil environment. There is an ambience in this painting that no other painting expresses, and I hope it can be seen here - it can be appreciated when viewing the original. Hence I have called it Tranquility. This was started in March 2024 and completed in September 2024. It is perfect for any home, and serves as a reminder to appreciate the beauty of nature.
There are 80 Peace Pagodas in the UK and this one is in Battersea Park, London. It is in an enviable location, overlooking Battersea Park. The origins of this design can be traced back to Buddhism, and it is described as an advocate for world peace. I have recreated the scene by including an angel, and the scene has been slightly adapted from the original photo. The background park scene and the pagoda, along with the vibrant rich colours of trees, complement beautifully.

Having been taken back at this somewhat picturesque scene encompassing Parliament Square and St Margaret's church - if you ever have an opportunity to see this church, it is truly picturesque. Tower Bridge is a Grade I listed combined bascule and suspension bridge in London, built between 1886 and 1894. Big Ben is the nickname for the Great Bell of the Great Clock of Westminster, located at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London. On my visits to central London I was blown away by the style and height. Big Ben has recently gone through extensive renovation and looks even more striking. This 2-dimensional painting depicts an evening scene, with the sun setting over the horizon. The city of London has changed with the emergence of cycle lanes, and this has been added, adding real character and interest to this original painting.
This is an original oil painting of the Tower of London, an historic castle on the north bank of the River Thames in central London.
